Following the sad passing of Dame Deborah James, otherwise known on social media as “Bowelbabe”, our trustee and colorectal consultant, Kat Baker, will be on BBC Radio Oxford at 07:50am on Thursday 30th June discussing the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer.
Dame Deborah worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and bowel cancer, especially in the younger generations. Her motto of “Rebellious Hope” and determination to fight cancer and smash taboos right to the end was an inspiration to us all, not just to those living with bowel cancer.
Lets continue her legacy by raising the awareness of bowel cancer, especially in young people like Dame Deborah, and not being ashamed to have the conversation about poo!
